How to follow a subreddit in Thunderbird

Thunderbird reads RSS feeds like email. Feeds that use a Reddit .rss link stop updating on November 13, 2026, so add a Redditrss link instead.

Add a subreddit

1. Create the feed at Redditrss and copy the feed link.
2. In Thunderbird, open Account Settings and choose Add Feed Account if you do not have one yet.
3. Open the feed account, click Manage Subscriptions, and paste the link into Feed URL.
4. Click Add. New posts appear as messages in a folder.

Replace an existing Reddit feed

1. Open Manage Subscriptions, remove the old Reddit feed and add the Redditrss link.
