How to trigger a Zap from a subreddit
Zaps that watch a Reddit .rss link stop triggering on November 13, 2026. Swap in a Redditrss feed and the rest of the Zap keeps working.
Set up the trigger
- Create the feed at Redditrss and copy the feed link.
- In Zapier, create a Zap and choose RSS by Zapier as the trigger app.
- Pick the event New Item in Feed.
- Paste the link into Feed URL and continue.
- Test the trigger. Zapier pulls a recent post so you can map its fields.
Common actions
- Slack: post the title and link to a channel for your team.
- Google Sheets: add a row per post to build a log of mentions.
- Email: send yourself a digest of new posts.
Replacing an existing Reddit trigger
- Open the Zap and edit the trigger step.
- Replace the Feed URL with the Redditrss link and retest.
- Publish the change. Existing actions keep their field mappings, since the post fields stay the same.
Fewer false alerts
Keyword feeds are noisy, and every false match costs a Zapier task. A Redditrss topic feed removes the posts that only share your keyword before they reach the Zap, so you spend tasks on posts that matter.
